Dear Potential New Members,

My name is Eleanor Hickman, and I am beyond honored to serve as the Delta Zeta Vice President of Membership. I am so excited to meet and welcome all of you during Fall Formal Recruitment.

The members of Beta Xi have been working hard to prepare for your arrival, and we cannot wait to show you a part of our chapter. Recruitment week is all about you, and we are ecstatic to be able to finally meet each of you! The six founders of our sorority began Delta Zeta based on values of sisterly love and friendship, academics, philanthropy and service, and the promotion of excellent character. These pillars act as a guide for our chapter, and our members look forward to exemplifying these to you.

I hope that you are just as excited as we are for Recruitment and to find your “home” here in Delta Zeta. The members of our chapter radiate joy, love, and acceptance, and I cannot wait for you to experience that in just a short while. I would not change my experience as a Delta Zeta sister for anything, and I wish you all the best of luck during Recruitment!

War Eagle,
Eleanor Hickman, Vice President of Membership

RECOMMENDATIONS

Any Delta Zeta alumna can recommend a potential member by submitting an Online Recruitment Introduction Form. This is the best way to ensure that we receive your recommendation. If you do not know your log in information, National Headquarters can provide that for you at 513-523-7597. Click here for more information on recommending a member.

We are participating in Panhellenic Formal Recruitment from August 9-17, 2024 and are not available to respond to your email during this time. If your email is regarding a potential member recommendation and/or Recruitment Introduction Form, we will not be receiving new recommendations after August 8. Recommendations that come in after August 8 will be recorded for Continuous Open Bidding (Informal Recruitment).

Meet Mama T!

The Mama Turtle is the Vice President of New Membership Education. She prepares our New Members for initiation by teaching them Delta Zeta history, our creed, rituals, values and general processes. This year, the Member Class of 2024’s New Member Educator is Madeline Dunning.

Why did you decide to become the NME?

Ever since my New Member period I knew I wanted to be Mama T. The impact and service opportunities that this position provides has always been something I’ve wanted to be apart of. I want to be able to give our New Members the welcoming environment and sense of belonging that I experienced in Delta Zeta.

What are you most excited for during your term?

I am so incredibly excited for our New Members. I can’t wait to help them walk through the New Member period and help them grow. Sharing my love for our chapter and getting to watch others experience that is something I will be forever grateful for.

What is your favorite thing about Delta Zeta?

My favorite thing about Delta Zeta is the diversity of our chapter. Coming from out-of-state, I knew that I wanted to grow through meeting all kinds of new people. The girls of this chapter have taught me so much and I am so thankful for this sisterhood!

What do you want the Potential New Members to know before Fall Formal Recruitment?

I want the Potential New Members to know that I am forever thankful for my time going through recruitment. I met some of my closest friends and the feeling of running home to someone who had spend all week speaking life into me was so joyous. Know that wherever you end up it is for a reason and you will look back on that time and be so grateful for the experience!
